Aviation Insurance
Our spiel: We offer experience and expertise in handling all Aviation related insurance products. As aircraft owners and operators ourselves, we appreciate the challenges of flight safety. Our primary goal is the transfer of the financial risk from the owner/operator of aircraft or related businessses to the insurance products we arrange on your behalf.
Who we are
BAIS was formed by Geoff Logan in 2002. I have been in the Aviation Insurance Business for over 30 years now.
I started my career at USAIG in the San Francisco office as an aviation underwriter. After ten years at that fine company, I moved to Arthur Gallagher & Assoc., as the aviation insurance manager in the Pleasanton, CA office. There, my team and I handled many accounts throughout the company on a national basis. After five years with that group I left to form Business Aviation Insurance Services, Inc. Our office is in Walnut Creek, CA, my hometown. Joining the team after some years was Bob Weiss. Bob brings years of Property and insurance expertise to the company. Bob and I both fly out of Buchanan Field, Concord, CA (KCCR).
Claims handling is managed by Louise Boas, who brings years of industry experience to the team.
Involvement and Investment in Aviation:
From running the local flying club to serving on local airport advisory bodies, our passion is aviation.
Currently, Geoff is chairman of the Contra Costa County Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC). Previously served as an officer of the Airport Advisory Committee (AAC) Geoff is also a commisioner for the State of California Technical Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (TACA) to the State Transportation Commission.
Bob is past president of the Mt Diablo Pilots Association. (MDPA)
We are both pilots and Geoff is an A&P.
